Class descriptions

Workout with us in one of our group fitness classes.

 

Let our experienced Group Fitness instructors take you on a journey to improve health and wellbeing. Most classes run for approximately 45 minutes and are a great way to achieve your health and fitness goals.

Classes vary, so depending on your goals you could enjoy relaxation, strengthening or a high energy workout.

Following are our class descriptions:

 

Lite Paced Fitness
A compliment to the Parkmore community walk and integration of gym and fitness activities. Walk and fitness with light weights. Go at your own pace.

 

Pilates
This Fit ball class focusses on core strengthening movements – improving posture, flexibility and strength through the connection of mind body and breath. It teaches body awareness and easy graceful movement.

 

Hatha Yoga
During this overall conditioning class, you will work on your balance, strength, stamina and flexibility.

 

Metafit
A 30 minute high intensity body weight exercise class that will work the entire body, help with toning, losing weight & keeping fit. Exercises can be progressed or regressed to suit the fitness level of each person.

 

Cycle
Ride to inspirational music over varied terrain, controlling the intensity of your workout with a resistance dial and pedal speed.

 

Tummies, Hips and Thighs
A 60 minute class consisting of 15 minute low impact warm-up, leg work, fat burning and abdominal exercise all designed to target the tummy, hips and thighs.

 

Pryme Movers
Enjoy these light pace options suitable for older adults, anyone new to exercise or those who need to take it easy due to injury or other reason.

 

Tai Chi
An ancient branch of Chinese martial art, it helps promote general health and fitness, improved concentration, enhanced mobility and mind body harmony.

 

MetaPWR
A metabolic workout using functional kit and exercises mixed with our unique brand of metafit timings, commands and music for a 30 minute power workout that can be done anywhere. A power circuit class using specialized equipment and exercises to work muscles and boost metabolism.

 

Gymstick
Gymstick puts you through your paces and provides a superior workout with one of the easiest pieces of equipment you will ever use. You don’t need extensive fitness or coordination skills to master the gymstick and realise the muscle-building benefits of targeted resistance training a busting 45 minute class to tone & strengthen your entire body.

 

Mums N’ Bubs
Mums N’ Bubs provides you with a safe and happy environment for you to exercise, confident in the knowledge your baby is safely within your sight or reach. The session covers a wide variety of exercises that can be easily modified to cater for you and your baby.

 

Classes cater for different levels and mobility and are a great way to meet new people and socialise in a relaxed and friendly environment.
